There is no evidence that her father’s name was Lytton, as suggested in Collectanea Topographia et Genealogica ed. Nichols, iii. 15. (2) bef. Easter 1435, CCR, 1454-61, pp. 182-3. Theobalda (d.1478/9), da. of John Mareys of Harbelton in Harrietsham, Kent. Theobalda is not mentioned in the will of her brother William Mareys of Faversham, made in July 1457: PCC 18 Stokton (PROB11/4, f. 134v). However, William had supported her in her widowhood (Collectanea, iii. 18-19), and he and their brother Thomas were feoffees for the settlement made on her marrige to Humphrey Eveas (C139/152/13).
