His daughter Lady Dorchester published portions of this, together with extracts from his daily diaries, as Recollections of a Long Life, 6 vols. (1909-11). This (cited hereafter as Broughton), has been drawn on, and the unpublished diaries (Add. 56540-56557) have been selectively used.
