There is little to add to the earlier biography,2 The Commons 1386-1421, ii. 140-2. save that in association with John Longville, another lawyer linked to Buckinghamshire, and others, Barton received a bond in statute staple for £50 from Sir Thomas Green* in June 1422, although it is not known for what purpose.3 C241/228/145.
