biography text

A little more can be added to the earlier biography.2 The Commons 1386-1421, ii. 447-8.

The identity of Bush’s son-in-law, the father of his eventual heir Robert Westbury, has not been ascertained for certain, but it is possible that he was John Westbury† of Hill Deverill in Wiltshire, who had sat for that county in the Parliament of 1419, and had thus been one of Bush’s fellows in the Commons. Like Bush’s daughter, John’s wife was called Elizabeth.3 Ibid. iv. 813-14.
