Nothing further has been discovered about Denby to add to the earlier biography,1 The Commons 1386-1421, ii. 265. although his appearance as surety for William Ludlow II*, on his election to represent Ludgershall in the Commons of 1437, suggests that he was a local man.2 C219/15/1.
