Outside Worcester, Friar possessed interests at Kempsey and Broomhall to the south of the city. In July 1415, he conveyed his lands in those parishes to the chaplain Henry Wele, presumably in trust, and he and his wife Elizabeth obtained further holdings there from Henry Howden, his wife Margery and their son John in February 1418.3 Birmingham Archs., Zachary Lloyd pprs. 3688/105-6, 111.
