biography text

A little may be added to the earlier biography.1 The Commons 1386-1421, iii. 454. In 1417 and 1418 Hunt was prominent among the citizens who, so the prior of Bath complained, were usurping the priory’s privileges by causing the bells of the churches of the city and its suburbs to be rung before and after the first and last bells of the day, customarily rung by the monks.2 SC8/176/8781; 302/15089; The Commons 1386-1421, i. 590.
