White survived for some years after his final spell in the Commons: in the spring of 1440 he was being pursued by one John Curteys for payment of a sum of 40s., while in the summer of 1445 he himself was suing a gentleman from Goring, Sussex, for a debt of £10 16s. 8d.3 CP40/717, rot. 354; 738 rot. 38d.
