Very little is known about Cervington. By 1569 he owned a house and garden in Huntingdon, and in 1582 acquired land in Ramsey. He contributed £25 to the Armada defence fund in his county.3Cal. The Barbara Cervington whose will was proved at Huntingdon in 1615 was presumably his wife. The inquisition post mortem on William ‘Servington’ of Fleet, Lincolnshire, who died on 23 May 1603, mentions a wife, Barbara, as still living, and gives the heir as William (aged seven), son of the elder William’s deceased son Edward.
