Cutler’s local influence twice gained him a seat at Eye. He left no mark on the known records of his two Parliaments. In his will, dated 24 Feb. 1582 and proved in May of that year, he ordered that his property should be sold to pay his debts. He left a few small bequests and asked his brother Henry, who was joint executor with the widow, ‘to give his best assistance and comfort to my poor wife’ and children.1Vis. Suff. ed.
