biography text
This Member has not been identified. He may have been a descendant of the Thomas and Henry Dale who lived near Scarborough and were executed for rebellion in 1549. A James Dale was admitted to Gray’s Inn in 1577 and another in 1580, but the admission register gives no details.1Drake, Eboracum, 128, York Civic Recs. (Yorks. Arch. Soc. rec. ser. cxix), 107, 123.
