biography text
Daniel was a Truro merchant, whose return for the borough in 1601 is said to be the earliest mention of a family well known in the district in the seventeenth century, and prominent for 200 years. He died intestate in 1633, and was buried on 30 May in St. Mary’s parish church.1C. S. Gilbert, Hist. Surv. Cornw. 90; Jnl. R. Inst. Cornw. xiv. 215; St. Mary Truro Par. Reg. i. (Devon and Cornw.
