There were two namesake, his son, the other his younger brother, who might have been brought in for Helston by Sir Francis Godolphin: the brother has been preferred on account of age. Virtually nothing is known about him. He lived within a few miles of his brother and nephew, and may well have been associated with them in their mining enterprises. Administration of his estate was granted in 1589, and he was buried in the Godolphin aisle in the church at Breage, three miles from Helston.1Vis. Cornw. (Harl.
