biography text
Of a minor branch of the family, Hungerford was returned four times at Wootton Bassett through his own local standing. In 1593 he may have attended a cloth committee to which the burgesses for Wootton Bassett were appointed (15 Mar.). He left little mark on the records in this period. He died in 1636.1PCC 77 Pile; Wilts. Vis. Peds. (Harl. Soc. cv, cvi), 94; D’Ewes, 501.
