biography text
Wilson was elected to the 1621 Parliament at the behest of Thomas, earl of Arundel.1SP14/135/42. He played no recorded part in the Parliament; nor is anything else certainly known about him. However, he was possibly the John Wilson resident in Arundel’s London house in 1619.2CSP Dom. 1619-23, p. 42. Additionally, a man of that name presented Thomas Heyney to the vicarage of Arundel, Sussex (perhaps as the earl’s trustee) in June 1620.3M.A. Tierney, Hist. and Antiqs. of the Castle and Town of Arundel, 659.
