Returned for Liskeard on a double return, Robinson was seated on the merits of the return, and classed as a friend by Lord Wharton. An inactive Member of the Convention, he was appointed by full name only to the committees to regulate fees, to draft the excise clauses in the bill for abolition of the court of wards, and to consider the Earl of Cleveland’s estate bill. He may have been the ‘Mr Robinson’ who threatened to oppose the election of Sidney Godolphin I at Helston in 1668, but the date of his death has not been ascertained.2Add. 28052, f. 39.
