Northmore was returned for Okehampton at the election in September 1713, a few months after inheriting his uncle’s property. He was classed as a Tory in the Worsley list and in two other contemporary listings, and during his parliamentary service in the next two reigns maintained his Tory identity. He died on 17 Mar. 1735.3 Gent. Mag. 1735, p. 163.
