Conyers, who bought Copt Hall, succeeded his father at East Grinstead in 1725 but was not re-elected till 1734. Presumably a Tory like his father and his brothers-in-law, Sir Charles Mordaunt and Sir Herbert Perrot Pakington, he was one of twelve Members who voted against the Westminster bridge bill in 1736.2Harley Diary, 31 Mar. 1736. In 1740 he voted with the Opposition on the place bill. He died 23 Apr. 1742.
