Lansdell, who bought the manor of Chamberhouse, in Crookham, Berks. in 17161VCH Berks. iii. 317. and the manor of Halsted in Kent from Edward Ashe2PCC 157 Henchman. before 1726, served under the elder Craggs at the Ordnance office. Returned for Liskeard by Craggs’s son-in-law, Edward Eliot, in 1722, he did not stand again. In 1738 he sold Halsted to Lord Vere Beauclerk for £22,989.3Hasted, Kent, i. 320-1. He died 4 July 1739, leaving two-thirds of his fortune to his eldest son, John, and the remaining third to his second son, Chrysostom.4PCC 157 Henchman.
