b. c. 1683, 2nd s. of John Offley of Madeley by Anne, da. and h. of John Crewe of Crewe Hall, Cheshire; bro. of John Crewe. m. Margaret, da. and h. of Sir Thomas Lawrence of Chelsea, 2s. suc. mother to Wichnor 1708; and to certain of the estates of his uncle, Sir John Crewe of Utkinton 1711.

Returned on petition as a Whig for Newcastle-under-Lyme in 1715, Crewe Offley voted for the septennial bill in 1716. In a list of Members who voted against the Government on Lord Cadogan in June 1717, he is shown as having been granted a reversion. He also voted against them on the repeal of the Occasional Conformity and Schism Acts in 1719, but for them on the peerage bill, on which he was put down by Craggs as to be approached by John Wallop. Returned in 1722 for Bewdley by Lord Herbert of Chirbury, he voted with the Administration till 1734, when he was defeated.

He died 28 June 1739.
