Browne was returned for Dorset without a contest, and in William Adam’s list is classed ‘doubtful’. He voted for parliamentary reform, 18 Apr. 1785; against Richmond’s fortifications plan, 27 Feb. 1786, but with Pitt over the Regency. No speech by him before 1790 is recorded.
