biography text

Henry Gally and Ralph Knight were connected with the 1st Duke of Newcastle in Nottinghamshire affairs, and John Gally Knight seems to have had a similar connexion with the 2nd Duke, who brought him into Parliament for Aldborough. Knight supported Pitt’s Administration. There is no record before 1790 of his having spoken in the House.

He died 20 Oct. 1804, aged 63.
