Richard Master was returned unopposed for Cirencester in 1785, a constituency which his father and grandfather had represented. He voted with Government on Richmond’s fortifications plan, 27 Feb. 1786, and in the division on the Regency of 16 Dec. 1788, but in the consolidated list on the Regency is classed with the Opposition.

He died 26 Oct. 1800.
