biography text

John Morgan’s political conduct conformed to that of his brothers. After succeeding to the estates he remained in opposition, and voted against Pitt on the Regency. His one reported speech, 11 Feb. 1772, was to ask why there had been delay in issuing the Monmouthshire writ.1Cavendish’s ‘Debates’, Egerton 232, f. 240. He died 27 June 1792.
