Roger Wilbraham was connected with Sir Francis Basset, and in 1784 stood on his interest at Truro and Mitchell. He was defeated at Truro; and at Mitchell he obtained the same number of votes as Christopher Hawkins. A double return was made, and Wilbraham was declared by the House not duly elected. In 1786 he was returned for Helston. He voted with Opposition, and was one of the managers of Warren Hastings’s impeachment. Eight speeches are reported 1786-90, on various political questions, none of particular interest.
He died January 1829.
