On 13 Nov. 1764 Lord Hyde wrote to George Grenville about the by-election in Warwickshire:1Grenville mss (JM). ‘Bromley and Sir F. Skipwith’s son are the two candidates already talked of; both say they will stand by your Administration, both Tories.’ Bromley was returned without a contest. In Rockingham’s list of July 1765 he is classed as ‘contra’, and voted against the repeal of the Stamp Act. His only other known vote was for the nullum tempus bill, 17 Feb. 1768. No speech by him is recorded.
He died 3 Mar. 1769.
