Cocks was returned on the family interest for Reigate in 1818 when his elder brother John transferred to a seat for Hereford. His only known votes in the ensuing Parliament were with government on the case of Wyndham Quin, 29 Mar., against Tierney’s censure motion, 18 May, and for the foreign enlistment bill, 10 June 1819. He died 5 July 1856.
