Rukyn was elected to the Coventry Parliament of 1459 in company with a local lawyer, Richard Bewley*, who was probably in the service of the Percys, as were the two MPs elected for Cumberland. He may have belonged to the same stable, but there is no evidence even to identify him.1 C219/16/5.
