Bodmin [1593]
biography text

This man has not been identified satisfactorily, though, whatever his family background, it is likely that he was the ‘Anthony Bennett, gent.’ admitted to Gray’s Inn on 8 Mar. 1593. There were Bennetts at Lawhitton, Cornwall, but no known Anthony among them. Men of the right name and of possible life dates lived in Devon and East Greenwich.1Vivian, Vis.
