biography text

Strode was a lawyer who spent most of his adult life at the Middle Temple, where, in 1620 he was ‘one of the most ancient masters of the outer bar’. His one appearance in Parliament must have been owed to his relatives, the Rogers family, patrons at Wareham. Strode was buried at Hampreston 11 Mar. 1648.1Hutchins, Dorset, ii. 130-1; I.o.W.
