biography text
Boscawen was returned under age on his father’s interest for Tregony at the first general election of 1679. He was classed as ‘honest’ by Shaftesbury, but took no ascertainable part in the first Exclusion Parliament. It was probably his father or his uncle who was appointed to the committee of elections and privileges on 18 Mar. 1679, since he himself died two days later.
