Coker’s grandfather, Sir Henry Coker of the Dorset family, married the Ludlow heiress of Hill Deverill.1Hoare, Wilts. Heytesbury, 30-31. Coker himself was put down in Sunderland’s plans for the 1722 Parliament to replace George Wade at Hindon, for which he was duly returned. No vote or speech of his has been recorded. He contested Wareham unsuccessfully in 1727. He died between 11 Apr. 1734 and 22 June 1737, possibly on 19 Apr. 1734.2Gent. Mag. 1734, p. 218; PCC 130 Wake.
