Pytts, whose family acquired Kyre in 1576,2Kyre Park Charters, 22-23. owned large estates in Worcestershire, for which he was returned in 1741, after unsuccessfully contesting Ludlow in 1727. A Tory, he voted against the Administration in all recorded divisions. Reelected unopposed in 1747, he was described by the 2nd Lord Egmont in his electoral survey, c.1749-50, as ‘most heartily well with us, and thinks himself under eternal obligations for our stand for him in the turnpike bill [for Worcestershire in 1749] against Lord Sandys’. He died 24 Nov. 1753.
