Tynte, whose family had been settled in Somerset since the beginning of the seventeenth century,1Collinson, Som. ii 317-18. was returned unopposed for Bridgwater on his family’s interest shortly after coming of age. A Tory, he voted against the Administration in the division on the Hessian troops, dying 12 Nov. 1730.
