Returned for Andover on the family interest, John Wallop voted with the Administration on the chairman of the elections committee in 1741 but against the Hanoverians in 1744, abstaining from the corresponding divisions in 1742 and 1746. Classed as a government supporter in 1747, he died v.p. 19 Nov. 1749.
