Lechmere contested Worcester at the by-election of February 1774 as the candidate of the corporation and the Clive-Walsh-Rous interest. He was returned after a contest, and was counted by Government as one of their supporters. He did not stand at the general election in October 1774.
He died 20 Mar. 1807.
