Pigot succeeded his brother George at Wallingford, where he was returned after a contest. In the House he followed his brother, and voted with the Government over Wilkes and the Middlesex election, February-May 1769. No speech by him is recorded. When his seat was vacated by his appointment to the mint, he failed to secure re-election, 27 Jan. 1772. He may have been the Robert Pigot who stood for Stafford in 1774.
He died 2 Aug. 1796.
