Worsley Holmes was returned for Newport by his brother, then an adherent of the Marquess Wellesley in politics. He accordingly voted for Catholic relief, 2 Mar. 1813, and paired likewise on 24 May. No speech and no other vote of his is known. He was drowned in the Hamble when his boat overturned, 26 July 1814.1Gent. Mag. (1814), ii. 194.
