MYDDELTON, Sir Richard, 3rd Bt. (1655-1716), of Chirk Castle, Denb.

Sir Richard Myddelton considerably increased the Chirk Castle estates, marrying a Shropshire heiress and buying the lordship of Ruthin. A moderate Tory, who did not oppose the Hanoverian succession, he died 9 Apr. 1716.
