biography text

In 1784 Wodehouse was a candidate for Great Yarmouth, but after a canvass withdrew, and on 3 Apr., only eleven days before the election, declared his candidature for the county as a follower of Pitt. After a brief but remarkable campaign, T. W. Coke declined the poll. Wodehouse voted with Pitt during the Regency crisis. In his first Parliament he is not known to have spoken in the House.

He died 29 May 1834.
