s. of John Bartelot of Stopham, Suss.; yr. bro. of John*. Suss. Arch. Collns. xxvii. 50-55. He has been distinguished from his nephew, the Thomas Bartelot who m. 1448, Elizabeth, da. and h. of William Okehurst (s. of William Okehurst*), thereby bringing to the Bartelots lands in Sullington and Storrington called West Wantley, and eventually all the Okehurst inheritance: Cat.
