He was called ‘bailiff’ when attending the Brodhull of 7 Dec., but may have merely been acting as dep. to John Rede II*, then absent attending Parliament. Rede was certainly bailiff in July 1433 and Jan. 1434: E122/177/28; White and Black Bks. 3.
