The Thomas Charlton who headed the Mdx. attestors in 1429 and 1432 and found sureties for the elected knights on the former occasion was not styled a knight, but on account of the younger Thomas’s probable age at this date it is likely that this was the result of a clerical oversight: C219/14/1/54, 3/49.
