Attestor, parlty. election, Derby 1449 (Nov.). The return gives two lists of attestors to the borough election: the one, under the date 23 Oct. 1449, in the indenture between the county sheriff and the attestors to both county and borough elections; the other, dated six days later, in an indenture drawn up by the town bailiffs in response to the sheriff’s instruction to them to hold an election: C219/15/7. Tyldesley appears only in the latter.
