m. Matilda, da. of John Northby*, The Commons 1386-1421, iii. 851 errs in stating that Usflete was married to Margaret Northby. When Margaret died in 1436 she made no mention of Usflete and the MP’s own will gives his wife’s name unambiguously as Matilda: Borthwick Inst., Univ. of York, York registry wills, prob. reg. 3, f. 473. s.p.
