In 1635-8, the Bridgemans purchased a moiety of manors of Malpas and Wigland, including salt pans, in Cheshire and Flint, for £3,500, and manor of Bromborough, Cheshire, for £4,100.Cheshire RO, DCH/C/506; ‘Bridgeman sequestration pprs.’ ed.
