In 1655, he inherited a large estate in Lincs.Infra, ‘Sir John Wray’. By 1661, he either owned or rented a house in Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Mdx.Evelyn, Evelyn Fam. 504. His estate was worth an estimated £3,500 p.a.‘Lincs. fams. temp. Charles II’ ed. C. H., Her. and Gen. ii. 126.
