Estates
in 1617 inherited two manors in Northants., one in Warws., a house in Whitley, near Coventry, and a legacy of £1,500. His father charged his estate with legacies totalling approximately £10,000 (£1,500 to his three sons; portions of no more than £2,000 to his three daughters).C142/365/149; PROB11/130, f. 480r-v, 482. In 1625, Tate became coheir to three manors in Hants and other property of his grandfather Lord Zouche.C142/447/28.
