Richard Williams stood for Flint on the Tory interest in 1741 reluctantly, on the insistence of his brother, Sir Watkin Williams Wynn. Awarded the seat on petition, he voted against the Hanoverians in 1742 and 1744, but was absent from the division on them in 1746, and did not stand again. He died 12 Apr. 1759.
