Williams, who won his seat on petition, voted regularly for the Walpole ministry, from which he obtained legal offices, carrying a salary of £500 each, for himself and his brother Thomas, chamberlain from 1731 of the other South Wales circuit. After Walpole’s fall he voted with the new Administration on the Hanoverians in 1742. He died 19 July 1745, aged 64.
